This is our Shark Navigator Freestyle (SV1106) Cordless Stick Vacuum Reviews.
We were really curious and here’s what we found.
The Shark Navigator Freestyle Vacuum Overview
Shark Navigator Freestyle (SV1106) stick vacuum is a cordless, bagless powerhouse that comes with extra large, easy to empty dust collection cup and washable filters.
The cordless vacuum cleaner is built to maneuver in and out of tight places and it features a 14.4 volts battery that lasts around 15 minutes suction while taking only 4 hours to get fully charged.
Weighing at just 7.5 pounds, the vacuum comes shipped with a charging base and no extra attachments.
Below are some of the pros and cons that we found about the Shark Navigator Freestyle (SV1106).
The Good Part About Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Vacuum
What we like about the Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Vacuum.
The Shark Navigator Freestyle comes with the swivel steering. It allows you to maneuver easily around the house without having to put in too many efforts in doing so. It was really easy for us to take the stick vacuum and spin around our place while also accessing under the furniture and sofa.
Part of the easy maneuver was also thanks to its lightweight at around 7.5 pounds. You can easily pick it up from the charging base and with a flick of button start going around the places for your cleaning tasks.
As with any cordless vacuums, the Shark Navigator stick comes with battery and needs charging from time to time after usage. This vacuum is currently able to operate for around 15 to 17 minutes before it needs a recharge. We were really impressed with the quick charging of around 4 hours to full charge.
The Shark Navigator Freestyle (SV1106) comes with a very minimal charging base. It doesn’t even take up much spaces by itself or with the cordless vacuum on it.
The vacuum cleaner head comes with the motorized brush roll. The motorized brush rotation is powerful enough to brush up those embedded hairs and stubborn debris that were stuck on carpets while the powerful suction brings them into the dust collection cup.
The Shark Navigator Freestyle also produces very low noise when in use. I think you wouldn’t even wake a baby up when you’re doing your cleaning tasks with this cordless vacuum cleaner. While being low noise, it also doesn’t compromise its suction power. The vacuum is still able to suck up the dust well on both hard floors and carpets.
The dust cup is also big enough for quick cleaning and not having to empty in between the session. A push of a button in front of vacuum would release the dust collection and easily dump out the dirt and dust.
The Bad Part About Shark Navigator Freestyle Cordless Vacuum
What we didn’t really like about the Shark Navigator Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.
While we did mention above that we like the Shark Navigator Freestyle’s ability to get fully charged in within four hours, the battery life of 15 minutes was not impressive comparing to its other competitors who are constantly improving the battery life of their products.
The Shark Navigator Freestyle cordless vacuum is mostly made of lightweight metals and plastics. The built of materials does give advantages to its lightweight but at the same time, it might have also sacrificed its durability.
The cordless stick vacuum itself does perform really well on cleaning hard floor surfaces and carpeting areas. What it lack is the variety of extra attachments. While it may be working really well on cleaning floors, you may need to buy another handheld vacuum to access furniture tops and crevices. This would not be a deal breaker if you already have another vacuum unit that comes with attachments for that purpose.
